Alexander P. Rasin (Washington and Lee University ’65, University of Maryland School of Law ’68), the senior partner, has dedicated almost forty years of practice to real estate, wills, estates, probate, and general business law.

Alex is a former Kent County Commissioner and town attorney for Galena and has served on many local boards, including the Humane Society of Kent County and the Mid-Shore Community Foundation.

Currently he serves as Chairman of the Board for The Peoples Bank, Chairman of the Chestertown Ethics Commission and President of the Eastern Shore Land Conservancy.

Eugenia Cooper Wootton (Gettysburg College ’76, University of Baltimore School of Law ’81), a partner, joined the firm in 1984 after practicing at Adkins, Potts & Smethurst in Salisbury.

Eugenia represents clients in the areas of real estate, wills, estates, probate and general business law. Genie has served on the Kent School and Chestertown Bank boards, and has been a member of the Attorney Grievance Commission Peer Review Panel.

Presently she is the Vice-Chair of Chester River Health System, Chair of the Kent County Ethics Commission and a director of PNC Bank.

Charles R. Athey (Washington College ’01, University of
Baltimore School of Law ’06) joined the firm in 2008, an associate who is licensed
to practice in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C., and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland.

He is a former Assistant State's Attorney and practices in the areas of civil litigation, criminal defense, family law, guardianships, wills, estates, and general business law.

Charlie serves on the boards of the Chester River Health Foundation, the Garfield Center for the Arts at the Prince Theatre, and the Washington College Alumni Association.
